Privacy Policy

Remembrily is an iPhone app that helps you remember the occasions that matter to the people you love, and give thoughtfully when they arrive. To do that job it stores information you give it — and this page explains exactly what that is, how it’s used, and how to delete it. The short version:

  • We collect only what the app needs to work. Nothing is used for advertising.
  • We do not sell your data, share it with data brokers, or track you across other apps and websites.
  • You can permanently delete your account and all of its data from inside the app, any time.

What we collect

Your account. Your email address, a display name, and a sign-in identity from Apple, Google, or an email/password pair. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive only the basic identity those services provide (name and email); we never see your passwords for those services.

The people you add. Names and, if you choose to add them, birthdays, phone numbers, email addresses, mailing addresses, photos, notes, favorites, and wish lists for your gift recipients. If you import from your iPhone contacts, only the people you select are imported — Remembrily never uploads your address book wholesale, and the import happens only when you initiate it.

Occasions and gifts. The occasions you track, reminders, budgets, gift decisions, and gift history — including amounts spent, which power the Smart Spending feature.

Payment details. Handled by specialists, not by us. Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat; we never see your card. If you save a card for gift purchases, it goes directly to Stripe — Remembrily’s servers store only a reference, the card brand, and the last four digits, never the card number.

Your device’s push token. A random identifier Apple issues so reminders can reach your phone. It identifies your device to Apple’s notification service, not your location or activity.

Share-link submissions. If you send someone a link to fill in their favorites or wish list, what they enter is stored with the person record in your account. Recipients see a consent notice before contributing, can use the link without creating any account, and can remove what they submitted.

What we don’t do

  • No advertising, and no advertising SDKs in the app.
  • No selling or renting data, to anyone, ever.
  • No tracking across other companies’ apps or websites.
  • No reading your contacts, photos, or calendar without an action you take in the app.

AI gift suggestions

Gift suggestions are generated first from the wish lists and favorites you or your recipients have recorded — that ranking happens on Remembrily’s own servers. If you use the optional “Ask ChatGPT” feature, the app hands your prompt to your own ChatGPT account through Apple’s Shortcuts app. That content is then governed by OpenAI’s privacy policy — it does not pass through Remembrily’s servers, and we never hold an AI provider’s copy of your data.

Where your data lives, and who helps us run the service

Your data is stored in a managed Postgres database and private file storage hosted by Supabase, protected by row-level security so each account can read only its own rows. The other processors we use, strictly to operate the product:

  • Apple — Sign in with Apple, push notification delivery, and in-app purchases.
  • Google — Sign in with Google, if you choose it.
  • RevenueCat — validates Premium subscription receipts and entitlements.
  • Stripe — stores saved cards and processes gift payments.
  • Resend — delivers reminder and account emails.
  • Gift-card fulfillment partners (such as Tremendous or Reloadly) — receive only what a specific gift order requires, when you place one.

Each receives only the data its job requires, and none may use it for their own purposes beyond providing the service.

Deleting your data

Open the app → Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, every person and occasion you added, wish lists, gift history, photos, and your saved payment details at Stripe. It is immediate and cannot be undone. One thing deletion cannot do: cancel an active Premium subscription, because subscriptions belong to your Apple ID — cancel in your iPhone’s Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

You can also email us at contact@remembrily.com from your account address to request deletion or a copy of your data.

Security

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Database access is enforced per-account with row-level security, person photos live in a private bucket readable only by their owner, and share links use unguessable tokens you can revoke at any time.

Children

Remembrily is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll update this page and the date above, and for significant changes we’ll tell you in the app.
